In December over 170 Year 10 pupils and parents from Aquinas and St.Joseph’s College participated in the Aquinas STEM careers workshops.

As part of our Learning Guidance program, the aim of this initiative was to inform and educate our pupils about career opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

The participating organisations brought a wealth of expertise and experience from across the scientific, medical, engineering, computer science and agri-science fields.  Pupils had the chance to see, hear and get hands-on experience of the types of work done by the experts, and the relevance to our everyday lives.

We are grateful to the following  participating organisations :

The School of Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences at QUB

The Royal Society of Chemistry

The School of Engineering at UUJ

The Nanotechnology and Integrated BioEngineering Centre (NIBEC)

Loughry College

 i-Path Diagnostics
