The Debate Society
Debates in school are organised by Mr McGrath and the student body. The debaters meet in room S23 and e-mail notification is sent to every form tutor and heads of year when a debating meeting is being held. These notifications should then be passed on to form classes during morning registration.
Owing to a split lunch, meetings happen on a specified break-time and actual debates, once scheduled, take place in S23 at 3.30pm.
The debates will not always be on the same afternoon (as we work with the chosen speakers and other school activities) so as many students as possible are able to attend at least some debates throughout the year.
