The Sound of Music Auditions
EVERYONE who wishes to be on-stage in the school Show, The Sound of Music, MUST attend on Monday, 22, April, 3.30 to 4.30, DLT.
We will set-up a googleclassroom on Monday and, after Monday, we will be able to be more specific/ clearer about when you should attend auditions and then rehearsals.
We will be holding ACTING auditions only, this week and, next week, we will be doing holding SINGING auditions. If you miss the audition or auditions for your character, then, unfortunately, you cannot act in the Show.
TOP TIPS:
- Rehearse a Received Pronunciation ('Posh') English accent with a little Austrian twist unless your character is a Nazi and then I would like a very angry (stereotypical) German accent;
- Learn your cues so you know when it is your turn;
- Make sure you have thought-out actions and movements and facial expressions, etc.;
- Watch the original (Julie Andrews) film;
- Make an EFFORT and we will be impressed (we fully expect the accents to be terrible!).
