St. Genevieve’s High School Cross Country Event
On Thursday 28th November, Aquinas Cross Country Club were invited to attend an event hosted by St. Genevieve’s High School, Stewartstown Road, on their playing pitches.
Several schools in Belfast also attended, including St. Genevieve’s. The other schools were St. Malachy’s, St. Louise’s, St. Coleman’s, Coláiste Feirste, Methody, Victoria, Fortwilliam and St. Michael’s Enniskillen even made the journey. It was a wonderful opportunity for our club to get some races before the Districts in January.
We brought a large squad of 32 runners from Year 8 up to Year 11. We got five medals. Natasha came third in the Mini Girls race and Cillian came second in the Mini Boys race. Georgina won the Minor Girls race. Katie and Abi came first and third in the Junior Girls race.
