Profile on Alan Cairns – Technology & Design, Art, Reprographics & General Man Friday Technician

The T&D department took time on #TECHOGNITION DAY (10th March 2023) to recognise our wonderful technician Alan. He has been in Aquinas since 2017. During these years no day is the same. His skills are never ending and he is always willing to please. From fixing circuits, to using and maintaining all the CNC equipment in the Technology & Design Department. Alan is always busy in the Technology & Design, Art or the constant call of the reprographics room. On top of all that he can also be found fixing the printers around the school. Alan is kept busy at home by his lovely wife Alison and his two daughters Holly and Amber, not forgetting Charlie the Labrador. He enjoys tinkering with cars, playing the bass trombone. An amazing accolade to both Alan & Alison’s credit they have been foster parents to 27 children since 2006.

We are always grateful to Alan for all the skills he brings to Aquinas and always with a smile on his face.
