Mrs O’Hagan, our SENCo and a PhD student in Education, has been researching the educational experience of girls with Autistic Spectrum Disorder, working with 9 girls with Asperger’s/ASD and Autism across four schools in Belfast. She will be presenting a photography exhibition in the Graduate School, which will consist of a culmination of photographs taken by the research participants that they feel tell their story.  The exhibition aims to give an insight into the ASD community, using Photovoice, a type of feminist documentary photography that aims to raise awareness of oppressed groups and societies.
