National Poetry Day was celebrated in Aquinas by Junior and Senior students with poetry performances and music. The students created their own poems on the theme of change or read from a selection which included Hopkins’ ‘Binsey Poplars’, Rossetti’s ‘Caterpillar’, Dharker’s ‘Front Door’ and Yeats’ ‘He Mourns for the Change…’. Ms Curran’s Sociology class treated the students to their raps and poems from a social perspective. A rich cultural afternoon was enjoyed by all.
