The Shared Education Project between Aquinas and Wellington staged their annual Sports Day on Thursday with 120 Year 9 pupils involved in Basketball and Gaelic Football coaching sessions. The sessions led by prominent local Basketball players Conor and Sean Quinn and Down GAA star Donal O’Hare catered to all levels of ability. The sessions were very well received by pupils from both schools. This Sports Day followed on from a similar event in Wellington focusing on football and netball earlier in the week and brings to an end the SEP for 2017/18.

9B and 9F pupils who were involved throughout the year deserve huge credit for their positive attitude and willingness to work closely with their peers in Wellington College. Both groups will continue to participate in the SEP throughout their time in Aquinas and we would hope that these students will play a key role in fostering even greater connections with Wellington College in the years ahead.
