SUCCESS AT THE IRISH MINOR SCHOOLS SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS DUBLIN
Katie Madden and David Leggett represented Aquinas in the Irish minor schools championship in Dublin on 11/02/2018 with swimmers from schools all over Ireland.
Both swimmers did really well despite neither having competed in the National Aquatic Centre before and in front of a full house.
Katie Madden set a PB’s in both her strokes slashing 2.5 seconds off her 50m backstroke and finished in a time of 41.17s. In the 50m breasttroke she also set a new PB with a time of 47.06s. A fantastic achievement!
David Leggett got through to the finals and came second with Silver in the 50m breastroke (39.37s) and bronze in 50m butterfly with a time of 33.04s.
Aquinas swim hats worn with pride!
