The Shared Education Project between Aquinas and Wellington took another huge step forward on Monday with 120 Year 9 pupils involved in Rugby and Gaelic Football coaching sessions. The sessions led by Sam McBurney from Ulster Rugby and Down GAA star Kevin McKernan catered to all levels of ability and were very well received by pupils from both schools. This Sports Day followed on from a similar event in Wellington focusing on football and netball the previous week and brings to an end the SEP for 2016/17.

The shared Citizenship lessons, visits to Stormont and Belfast Activity Centre have been a huge success and we now plan to extend this to all Year 9 pupils next year. 9B pupils who were involved throughout the year deserve huge credit for their positive attitude and willingness to work closely with their peers in Wellington College.
