Aquinas have stormed into the next round of the Northern Ireland U12 Schools’ Cup with a comprehensive 5-1 local derby victory over St Joseph’s College. Jack Toner (pictured right) was too much for the opposition defence to handle with a neat first goal, followed by a well –taken penalty and a terrific 25 yard free kick into the top corner. It was testament to the performance of Rory Donaldson (pictured left) in midfield that his performance earned him a joint Man of the Match award with the hat-trick scorer. Rory broke up opposition play magnificently in the middle of the park and set up countless Aquinas attacks. Aquinas impressed all over the park in the second half after a shaky first half. Going in 1-1 at the interval, the Aquinas lads really stepped up a few gears in the second half to seal a great win.
