Mass to Celebrate the Beginning of 2016-17
Father Grant celebrated Mass today in the Church of the Good Shepherd to mark the opening of the 2016-17 academic year. The whole body of the school was in attendance and gave witness to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass which included the inauguration of Eucharistic Ministers from Year 14.
Father Grant’s homily reminded the congregation of the meaning of Eucharist and how that’s embodied in the ethos of Aquinas and the beautiful music from the school choir gave further poignancy to proceedings.
Finally, Father McKenna, the Parish Priest of Holy Rosary, expressed his appreciation of the school within the life of the parish and Principal, Mr Kelly welcomed all pupils to the new academic year, particularly those new to the school.
