Five year 13 girls were entered into a public speaking competition last night at Stormont, competing against 22 other candidates (and fierce competition) from a range of schools throughout the Belfast region, and I am delighted to tell you that Caoimhe Quinn achieved 1st place and Seren McKeever 2nd place!  The girls did a sterling job and I had numerous compliments from other teachers and the Soroptimists themselves, praising the girls and the standard of their speeches. Eve Carnie, Greta Kelly and Kara McDonald also competed and spoke exceptionally well too.



 

Caoimhe will now be entered into the grand final and will compete against other finalists throughout Northern Ireland in February. I have no doubt she will be fantastic.
