To complete a very successful first year at Aquinas the Year 8 Pupils took part in the Young Enterprise programme “Moving on” during the morning of Thursday 25th June. The pupils were involved in designing a crest to represent their achievements and interests, which was approached with great enthusiasm. Several groups had to present their final piece to the year group and explain their creations.  The pupils also set themselves some challenging targets for the summer ahead and came up with many very interesting ways of escaping from a broken lift!!

After an extended lunch, the Irish weather got the better of our plans, however, undeterred the group enjoyed an excellent afternoon of indoor activities with the help of the PE department and Teaching and Learning Assistants.

It has been an excellent first year for the pupils within the classroom and the numerous extra-curricular activities they have attended. We wish them a very happy and safe summer and look forward to seeing them back at Aquinas in September as “Big” Year 9’s.
