65 Year 11 Chemistry Students took part in the Queen’s University Belfast ‘Chemistry at Work’ event. The event aims to:

  • celebrate the variety of careers within STEM and the chemical sciences
  • get students talking to practising chemists and scientists
  • get students participating in hands-on activities
  • involve a large number of students (typically a whole year group)
  • involve local industries and STEM ambassadors
  • be fun, engaging and inspiring

The Chemistry at Work programme has been running for over ten years with over 100 events organised across the UK each year.  Chemistry at Work provided our students the opportunity to talk to scientists and explore the application of science by showcasing local businesses that use the chemical sciences.
