As part of their Careers Education Programme, all Year 8 pupils visited the Titanic Experience at Queens Quay on Wednesday 11 June,

The visit included an ‘Exploring the Depths Workshop’ and a walk through of  ‘The Galleries’.

Pupils were taken on a structured visit around the newly refurbished Ocean Exploration Centre Gallery that allowed them to experience a simulator that takes  pupils on an underwater tour of the North Coast, marine life microscope study, a look at contemporary marine exploration/archaeology, access to decommissioned marine equipment and the opportunity to learn about the work of marine scientists.

Pupils also had the chance to view and engage with 9 Galleries at Titanic Belfast and the slipways.   The information in these galleries told them of the growth of Belfast, the story of Titanic as well as allowing them to avail of a variety of interactive activities.
