Caoimhe Magorrian (8T) raised over £500 for the Little Princess Trust, which provides real-hair wigs, free of charge, to boys and girls that have lost their own hair through cancer treatment and other illnesses.

To do this, Caoimhe decided to cut 11 inches off her hair and send it to the charity, along with her sponsorship money.

The big event took place in Riah Hair and Beauty, Ormeau Rd on Saturday 7th June (thank you to Nuala and all the staff who were so encouraging).

She has been fundraising in school, at home in Carryduff, on Twitter and through justgiving.com. Donations have come in from as far away as Texas!

Thanks to her brothers Diarmuid (14P) and Dáire (12C) for helping her with the fundraising. A big thank you also to Mr Kelly, Mrs McCrossan, Miss Cameron, all the staff who teach class 8T and all the pupils in Aquinas who have been so supportive and generous.
