The first ever official reunion of past pupils and staff from Aquinas Diocesan Grammar School took place last Friday, 2 May in the Europa Hotel.

Most of the past Principals attended and made speeches that reminisced of the first twenty-one years in the school’s history. That, combined with old photographs projected in the background, gave a real feeling of nostalgia to the evening.

Many of the past pupils travelled from as far away as London and ranged from the very first year group in the school right up to those who left in 2010. The Johnny Hero disco towards the latter half of the evening made it a night to remember and a real celebration of a short, yet significant history.

Mr Finbarr McCallion said, “It was great to be back in the warm caring atmosphere that was and is Aquinas. It was wonderful to see Aquinas and it’s staff and students bloom in a way we could only have hoped for 20 years ago.”
