Ski Trip to Andalo
The tenth Ski Trip to leave Aquinas was another resounding success. Ninety-five pupils and eleven staff enjoyed the beautiful snow conditions, coupled with the hot sunny weather offered by the Italian Dolomites.
Pupils got on really well with their instructors and were taught to a high standard. The beginners also showed real promise even after two days! The instructors gave special praise to Stephen Quinn (Year 10) and Miles Colgan (Year 9) as the skiers with the best technique – Mr Leneghan and Mr Evans were ragin’ it wasn’t them!
Being away from home, getting on with pupils from different year groups, taking responsibility for yourself and fellow travellers and learning a new sport, (all without parental support) is everything that makes a ski trip worthwhile.
There is no doubt that this trip provided all these character building experiences for the pupils and will always live long in the memory.
Thanks to Matthew McCrudden (Year 13) for the fabulous video footage shown below.
