Aquinas Camogs pick up their first piece of silverware!
Aquinas Grammar School girls competed in the County Down Schools’ Shield Final on Wednesday 1st June and were victorious in picking up their first piece of camogie silverware! They defeated all girls’ school, Sacred Heart, Newry 3: 5 to 4:1, a point being all that was in it at full time. The girls thoroughly deserve this fabulous win as they have worked terribly hard all year and on the day never gave up until they had secured their victory. We look forward to next season with high hopes of getting another piece of silverware to fill the trophy cabinet. Well done girls!
The winning panel is as follows:
Claire McAreavey (captain), Laura Hamill, Lauren McDonald, Olivia Boyle, Orlagh McClinton, Megan Hughes, Ellen McVeigh, Ciara Barnes, Eimear Magennis, Ella Durkan, Cara McCanny, Aoife McCanny, Caiti Mulholland, Aobh Hughes, Joanne Madden-McKee, Chelsea Dignam, Rebecca McKeagney, Katie O’Rourke, Clare Doran, Ellen McGibbon & Niamh Allen.
