3. Learn the following dates/events of 1066:
5 January Edward dies
6 January Coronation of Harold
Mid – January William hears of Harold’s coronation
14 April Haley’s comet was seen in England
25 September William landed in England
28 September Battle of Stamford Bridge
14 October Battle of Hastings
25 December William is crowned King
4. Learn the names of the four contenders for the throne and learn 3 strengths and 2 weaknesses of the claims of 2 of these men.
Year 9 January 2011 Test History Revision List
- Read the Martin Luther booklet well as you will be asked short questions about it. Spend some time studying the table comparing Catholic and Lutheran beliefs.
- Read the handout about the Counter-Reformation well.
- If you have the textbook at home copy out and learn the timeline of the Spanish Armada on Page 27 and do question 1 on page 27 well.
- Read the 4 bullet points on Page 26 several times.
Year 10 January 2011 Test History Revision List
1. Pages 1- 29 of your booklet should be known well.
2. Focus particularly on Pages 11 and 18 – 23.
3. Write out and learn definitions of Unionist, nationalist, proportional representation, gerrymandering, sectarian, discrimination.
4. Do all the questions up to and including the end of page 32 of your booklet.
Year 11 January 2011 Test History Revision List
- Pages 1- 47 should be revised.
- You will be getting Higher Tier past paper questions similar to those on pages 29 and 47 of the CCEA textbook.
Year 12 January 2011 Test History Revision List
- The test which is Paper One on your timetable will be The Cold War test. You need to revise pages 153 -160 of the CCEA textbook thoroughly.
Year 13 January 2011 CCEA Module History Revision List
All items on the syllabus must be revised including The Nazi Consolidation of Power January 1933-August 1934.
Year 14 January 2011 CCEA Module History Revision List
Partition of Ireland Home Rule essay to be done for Ms Dillon
Unionism must be thoroughly revised for CCEA module. Work on historiography.
