Set in the Italian Alps and close to the Swiss border, the town of Bormio boasts stunning scenery. One hundred Aquinas pupils and ten staff embarked on a one week trip to the area from 16th March to 23rd March and had a marvellous experience.

This was helped by a 10mm snow fall on the first night followed by six days of sunshine and blue skies. The hotel was situated right at the bottom of the ski run with access to the ski lifts a matter of few short ski-shuffles! The pupils enjoyed the fantastic variety of good Italian food and quality teaching from the local Italian Ski School. Many firm friendships were reinforced and new ones made over the week. Many thanks to the staff who gave so willing of their time.

The first 20 seconds of the video below shows Bormio in general – the rest is specifically of Aquinas.
