On the 21st of October, Aquinas Diocesan Grammar school held a successful netball competition for three different junior schools. We successfully invited junior netball players from Dame Allan’s School, Newcastle England and our neighbouring schools, Methodist College Belfast and Wellington College Belfast, as part of our shared education programme with Wellington College. We gave all the schools a warm welcome to Aquinas with Dame Allan, bringing three teams of different abilities in an A, B and C groups and four members of staff. Methody brought an A and B team while wellington a single C team.

Each of the teams were given the programme and rules before the start of play.

3 points = win 1 point for a draw

Overall this was a successful event. It was such a feast of netball with great skills and team performances on display.

I would like to thank our two umpires Andi Magee, who is a future pathway coach and an NI under 17 Development coach and Amy Stewart who coaches in schools and is an NI development officer.
