This year our bookclub members have been very lucky to have been invited out to hear not one, but two, very different authors speak about their books. The first was at the end of May and we went the short distance from our school to the Kingspan Rugby Stadium to hear Tony Bradman speak about his background, his writing career and his most recent books. He told us how his novel, Anzac Boys, based on his own family history, was 20% fact and 80% fiction. It tells the story of his two uncles who were sent to an orphanage together but then split up by the Authorities with one being shipped off to Australia and the other to New Zealand. In a strange coincidence both ended up serving as soldiers at Gallipoli in the First World War.  Mike Mc Comish
