Year 8 assessment
The end of year assessment will be as set out in pupils topic/unit booklet;
- oral assessment – 10 marks
- written coursework project – 40 marks
- practical cookery exam – 50 marks
there will be no end of year written test but there will be a file inspection of all year 8 work which needs to be kept for Year 9.
Year 9 assessment
The end of year assessment will be as set out in pupils topic/unit booklet;
- oral assessment – 10 marks
- written coursework project – 30 marks
- practical cookery exam – 60 marks
- end of year exam – 50 marks

- NSP/dietary fibre
- CHD , types of fats, saturated, poly, omega 3
- pregnancy,folic acid, breastfeeding
- babies/children, weaning
- teenagers, anaemia
- breakfasts
- CHD, typres of fat
year 10

- practical cookery exam – 40 marks
- exam – 55 marks

- religous beliefs – kosher, hala; etc..
- ethical beliefs – organic, fair trade etc..

- sale of goods act
- calcium/ osteoporosis
- cereals and cereal products
